She moved into online journalism after working as a design sub-editor in Chester and now works with the online team and features department at WalesOnline and Media Wales in Cardiff. While her second blog, Grumpy Gog, does not really reflect her general attitude to life, her first, Campergirl, revealed her true ambitions to escape the world in a VW.

Ruthie Davies |
Judging across all categories

Ruthie Davies from Court Henry near Llandeilo began writing her blog ‘The 7 Journey’ after the death of her husband in 2009. The self confessed ‘accidental blogger’ was named the winner of the ‘Best Writing’ category and ‘Best blog in Wales’ at the first Wales Blog Awards in 2010.

Since having her talents and dedication recognised, Ruthie has devoted more time to her blogging and attracted a new audience with her open manner and captivating writing skills.  When Ruthie is not writing, she dedicates her time to her local church, community and charity work, youth work, and her friends and family.
